As part of the Senior Leadership Team within Hitachi Capital Invoice Finance (HCIF), my main role is to lead our Relationship Management function. My team has overall responsibility for client relationships at all levels, from Directors and owners through to their designated finance or support functions.
We work with clients, new and old, to seek to ensure that we deliver the best possible service and funding from their facility, now and in the future. On the flip side, we also carry a clear internal responsibility to Hitachi Capital, to understand the ongoing risk attached to the funding that we provide. This is achieved through engagement with clients to understand their business and future plans, an ongoing assessment of each clients Sales Ledger (our security), sources of public information, and input from internal operational colleagues.
With over 30 years of relevant experience, I joined Hitachi Capital Invoice Finance in January 2017, with the challenge to build a new field-based Relationship Management team. This increased level of experience, and mobility, coupled with a significant investment in technology, has enabled HCIF to better support our client base and manage the products we offer.
With over 800 clients, spread across a wide range of industries and various services and products, no day is the same, and makes for a challenging but rewarding role for the team.
