John Atkinson

Head of Commercial Business

I have worked for the Hitachi Capital Group for over 15 years, initially in a marketing role and for 10 years as Head of the Sales and Marketing functions for Invoice Finance. Outside of work my passion is running, cycling and spending time with my 2 teenage children.

Graham Woodhall

Head of Sales – Core Team

I have 13 years Invoice Finance experience in a variety of Operations & Sales roles. I have been at HCIF for nearly 7 years and I currently head up the Core Team nationally. I have a very young family which keeps me busy outside of work, I am also a big sports fan and a keen runner.

I have a Japanese Shiba Inu dog called Kenji and enjoy going to the gym, travelling, eating out and of course socialising at the pub.

Game-changer for our transport business

Capital loans are the traditional way to bridge funding gaps but invoice financing is a much more flexible solution and offers immediate cash release on invoices that are 30, 60 and 90+ days from due.

The nature of our business and the up-front costs involved, fuel, vehicles, wages etc, are crippling. Hitachi came out on top when we compared similar invoice-financing solutions.

We enjoy a 6 month ‘trial’ with an option to continue with a 3-month rolling contract. The admin and support staff are available, friendly and knowledgable. It makes set-up with accounting software and transport platforms a breeze.

The business operated in the steel sector with the vendors selling the business as they wished to slow down and retire. Our facilities assisted in the acquisition
