Almost four in five small businesses have moved activities online to stay operational since the pandemic struck. Two-thirds that were offline before the beginning of lockdown are now also doing something online to keep their businesses afloat according to our latest Business Barometer research.
Many of these small businesses now rely on regular video calls with clients and customers whilst more than a third (36%) are doing all invoicing payroll and cash flow management online.
Our survey also found that 16% of small businesses are now taking advantage of their social media channels by communicating more frequently through YouTube and other social media sites.
(The research was conducted by YouGov among a representative sample of 1,266 small business decision makes in April 2020 spanning industry sectors).
