When Advent decided to broaden its business with a cutting-edge internet service combining advanced online technology with top-class general insurance for the intermediary market, it saw Hitachi Capital as the natural choice to join them in creating a dynamic new brand. Giving intermediaries instant access to quotes and the ability to buy online, GISecure was born from the synergy between Hitachi Capital's secure finance and trusted products and the successful delivery platform and sector expertise of Advent Solutions Management. But this wasn't a whirlwind romance. The companies had already been working together for two years with Hitachi Capital providing Gap and PPI products for Advent's clients in the motor industry, supporting major dealers such as Marshalls and Hartwells. Initially offering Hitachi Capital's flexible MPPI product, GISecure has already amassed an impressive client list of mortgage intermediaries including MoneyQuest, Mortgage Promotions, Pinnacle Finance, Genesis, Whitechurch and Personal Touch. GISecure have also gone live with House Guard Extra (Buildings and Contents insurance) underwritten by Fortis to offer its members a wider range of general insurance products.
The union between Hitachi Capital and Advent has brought advantages both to financial intermediaries and their clients. Intermediaries enjoy excellent commission rates, an advanced quoting system and regular MI allowing them to easily monitor business they have sold, while their clients benefit from strong product features such as first time buyer discounts, a 3 year guaranteed rate and instant cover.
