Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance plugs a Leeke

Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance, one of the UK's leading finance providers of point of sale (POS) credit facilities, has been appointed to provide POS credit for award-winning independent retailer, Leekes Ltd.

The new contract will see Hitachi Capital providing a range of POS finance options to Leekes, including its Interest Free Credit product, as well as low cost finance.

Established in 1897 by James Henry Leeke, Leekes started trading as a traditional builder's merchant selling ironmongery and hardware from the front room of the family home in a small terraced house in Clydach Vale.

Since then the business has expanded with stores in Llantrisant, Cross Hands and Melksham with a home improvement centre in Tonypandy. The three main stores offer everything for the home under one roof, from electrical appliances, fitness equipment and garden products through to furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, conservatories and much more.
