Frank bids farewell to the Consumer Finance industry after 45 years serviceFriday, 17 April 2009After more than 45 years in the retail finance Industry, including 15 years as Business Development Manager at Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance, Frank Stringfellow today retired from a long and successful career. Frank began working for Hitachi Capital in Leeds in 1994 and is acknowledged as a specialist in the retail furniture market. Frank started his career at United Dominions Trust in 1964, where he worked in motor vehicle finance and industrial finance for 14 years. He then moved to Lombard Tricity Finance in Manchester, before being appointed Senior New Business Manager and moving to the company’s head office in Enfield, where he stayed for a further 14 years. Commenting on his decision to retire, Frank said: "I have been very fortunate to have had such a long and successful career in this industry. I have a very close relationship with many major retailers. My final accomplishment prior to retirement has been to secure Leekes as a client, which commenced trading with Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance on 1st April." ‘I have enjoyed my time working with Hitachi Capital and the support from my colleagues in Leeds has been very, very good.’ In response to Frank’s decision to retire, Gerald Grimes, Divisional Managing Director at Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance said: "The whole team were saddened to learn that Frank, who has been an integral part to the team for over 15 years, is retiring. Frank has left some pretty big boots to fill and both staff and clients want to thank him for all his efforts over the years and wish him well in the future."
