The two companies have been working together since 1998 and Hitachi Capital has been heavily involved in the development of apetito’s new generation Chefmobil delivery vehicle which recently won a National Business Award for the Business Innovation of the year. John Sayers, Logistics Manager for apetito, says: “Over the decade in which we have worked together our business relationship has become much closer to the point where today we feel we are working in partnership with them. “Primarily, we chose to renew our contract with Hitachi Capital thanks to their expertise in the field and the high levels of customer service that the team delivers. We also felt confident to sign a five year deal due to the stability of our long standing relationship, and the commitment and dedication to our business that Hitachi Capital has already demonstrated.” Jon Lawes, Divisional Managing Director of Hitachi Capital Commercial Vehicle Services said: “The new contract with apetitio shows how we can develop tailored transport solutions for our customers. We have worked closely with apetito for a number of years, continually renewing and improving the Chefmobil and we are delighted that this relationship is set to continue, especially in these uncertain economic times.” Notes to Editors - About apetito apetito is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of quality frozen food and catering solutions, with 48 years of specialist knowledge. apetito’s innovative approach, coupled with the finest range of frozen food, means they are the largest supplier of food and catering systems and services to the elderly across Europe.
